All of us have been touched by cancer in some shape or form. It may be a loved one, a co-worker, yourself or in a dear friend. Andrea is my dear friend and co-worker. I remember when I got the call from Andrea, she told me that she had breast cancer. I was at work pacing in the garage bay when she went into details of her diagnosis. My heart broke for her. Cancer is something that I have dealt with many times in my family and each time it happens it hurts just the same. As a friend I felt helpless and all I wanted to do was go see my friend and hug her. But as this was just the start of the pandemic I was unable to visit. Before we went into the lockdown Andrea booked a session with me to capture her feminine body before it was transformed by cancer treatments. She knew the treatment would be hard on her body and that she would be getting a mastectomy. She wanted to show off her beautiful body and remember it for herself and for her two little girls. It has been a year since this session and Andrea is doing well and halfway through her chemo treatments. She has remained positive throughout her diagnosis and has kept that beautiful smile of hers. Her laugh, smile and zest for life is contagious and something that can’t be ignored the second she walks into a room. It has been an honour to call her my friend for the last 11 years and I can’t wait to through a big bash for you to celebrate when you are Cancer free! I love you girl xo

There has been a GoFundMe page set up for Andrea to help her and her family through this difficult time. If you are financially able to, please consider donating to this beautiful family. Please click her to donate.
